THE FULL STORY

EARLY ROOTS

Channing, better known as DJ GOODLYFE, is from Albany, New York, the Capital Region of the Empire State, but spent much of his life in Atlanta. Music has been a key part of his life since childhood, beginning at the age of six when he sang in his church choir. Coming from a family with deep roots in music, nightlife, and entertainment, it was only natural that music would become part of who he is.

THE DJ JOURNEY

DJ GOODLYFE first learned the art of DJing while attending college with D Street Entertainment. Eventually, he shifted his focus toward completing his education and building a career in telecommunications, traveling throughout the South with Net Connect. Nearly ten years would pass before he considered pursuing DJing on a serious level again.

THE BREAKTHROUGH

During that time, he remained a passionate music lover, creating mixtapes and playlists for friends and family. Everything changed when a friend asked him to bring his speaker and play music for an after-hours event. Soon after, his girlfriend encouraged him to apply for a position with Conway Entertainment, one of the region's premier DJ companies.

Starting at the bottom as an assistant among sixteen professional DJs, DJ GOODLYFE worked tirelessly to master his craft. Over the next seven years and thousands of events, he rose through the ranks to become one of the company's most sought-after headlining DJs. His deep love for music, natural ability to entertain, smooth transitions, and charismatic stage presence allowed him to connect with audiences on an exceptional level.

BEYOND THE DECKS

Beyond DJing, music has always been part of his creative identity. Since the age of twelve, he has written and performed rap music, constantly challenging himself against the standards set by his favorite artists. While working with Conway Entertainment, he also remained active in the club scene and urban music community, performing throughout the East Coast.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

In addition to his music career, DJ GOODLYFE dedicated himself to serving his community. He became a social worker with SNUG (Should Never Use Guns), a state-sponsored violence prevention initiative focused on reducing gun violence among youth. Through the program, he used his influence and passion for music to mentor young people and help guide them toward successful futures.

TODAY

After parting ways with Conway Entertainment, DJ GOODLYFE continued expanding his career, reaching new stages and audiences. He has since become a touring DJ, performing alongside and supporting artists such as Jadakiss, Styles P, Dave East, Vado, Tony Matterhorn, Mr. Cheeks, and many more.

Today, DJ GOODLYFE continues to elevate his brand, his music, and his impact. Now, he is ready to bring his unique energy, creativity, and passion to an even larger audience as he helps shape the future of music and entertainment through Net Vybe Music and Net Vybe Music TV.
